The Brazilian mining giant Vale's iron ore exports totaled 24.36 million tons in September, up by 1.3% year on year, according to data released by the country's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase).
In the January-September period, Vale's iron ore exports amounted to 186.55 million tons, decreasing by 3.68% year on year.
In September, Vale's iron ore domestic sales totaled 1.49 million tons, soaring by 24.12% year on year. In the first nine months of this year, Vale's iron ore domestic sales amounted to 11.52 million tons, rising by 8.77% year on year.
